In the village of Poša in the district of Vranov nad Topľou, they announced an extraordinary situation after Monday (21 April). Three family houses burned, that have become uninhabitable. As the municipality informs on the website, 14 inhabitants lost the roof overhead.

“The aim is to allow coordinated deployment of forces and means to handle the consequences of the event and ensure the basic life needs of the people who have lost housing,” the municipality said.

The fire caused damages to be preliminarily estimated at EUR 20 000. There was no injury to persons as a result of the fire. Ten professional firefighters from Vranov nad Topľou and the rescue brigade of the Fire and Rescue Corps in Humenné with three pieces of technology, as well as volunteer firefighters from Nižný Hrušov, participated in the fire.
