Gypsy chicken This is a tasty proposal for everyday dinner. Apart from chicken legin the dish you will find red peppers, onions, garlic, pickled cucumbers, and a sweet sour sauce based on jam and ketchup. You can also prepare a dish for an appointment of unexpected guests, because it is very simple and quick to do. Serve the finished chicken with fries, potatoes, rice or bread, it all depends on your preferences. Serve it with a light, vegetable salad.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 800 g of bone without bone chicken,
- 2 onions,
- 2 pickled cucumbers,
- 1 red pepper,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 100 g of mild ketchup,
- 60 g of plum jam,
- 50 ml of water,
- 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar,
- half a teaspoon of ground sweet pepper,
- half a teaspoon of ground smoked peppers,
- Salt and pepper,
- Frying oil.
Chicken legs salt and gray on all sides. If they are quite large, cross -section in half. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Fry the chicken on medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Set aside.
Cut the onion into feathers, clean the peppers from the seed socket and chop into strips, and pickled cucumbers in thin semi -slices. Peel the garlic and squeeze through the press.
Fry the onion with peppers in the same pan for 4 minutes. Add garlic at the end, stir and set aside. Then add chopped cucumbers and mix the stuffing.
Add ketchup, plum jam and wine vinegar to vegetables. Mix thoroughly and pour water to thin the sauce. Season with sweet and smoked peppers. Salt and gray.
Transfer fried chicken legs into an ovenproof dish. Pour them with sauce with toppings. Put in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
