Imagine that the average household consumes so many disposable bottles during the year that you could fill the whole apartment with them. It’s a lot of space – but also a lot of potential. Because each of these bottles is a material that can get a second life. Therefore, there is more and more talk about the need for effective solutions that will allow you to better manage waste – one of them is the capacity. It is in this direction that the upcoming changes are heading. Already on October 1, 2025, a new deposit system will be effective in Poland. It will cover plastic bottles up to 3 liters and metal cans up to 1 liter, with a deposit of PLN 0.50 per item. This is a step in the right direction, but also a challenge – the new initiative will require more attention from consumers – special storage of unreacked packaging and their return to receipt points.
Instead of waiting for system changes, it is worth working earlier – limiting the consumption of disposable plastic at the source. And here Sodastream comes to the rescue. Home saturators and reusable bottles are a simple alternative to disposable packaging. This is a specific solution, the effects of which are felt not only ecologically, but also practically: no need to wear heavy welds, more space in the kitchen and less waste for segregation.
Refill and Caration System: Complete, Return, don’t waste
However, the Sodastream system is more than a comfortable bottle. The brand has also been implementing a refill approach for years in relation to CO₂ cylinders. They operate in the deposit system: after wear, they can be returned, and the company undergoes them cleaning, control and re -filling. Thanks to this, the user not only avoids disposable solutions, but becomes part of the closed circulation economy.
– We celebrate International Earth Day every year with exceptional commitment – says Katarzyna Konwińska, marketing director for Central Europe in Sodastream. – We are aware that in the current geopolitical situation ecological topics are pushed into the background. The more we want to remind you that simple choices, if they are taken by many people, can bring a real change. That is why this year we urge you again: let’s replace the one -off bottles for more durable solutions – and start toast with water with bubbles.
The new educational and visual campaign includes 360 ° activities-television spots, presence in digital channels, social media and outdoor in major Polish cities. The Creative concept of local activities and the implementation of the campaign is responsible for the adaptation of global materials, the LEO Warsaw agency, the Zenith media agency, and SEO Performics – this is the first joint project of Sodastream and the agency as part of Publicis Groupe.
Plastic waste will not disappear overnight, but every decision that limits their quantity matters. Earth Day is a good time to think about it – and take a step towards a more convenient, more aware everyday life. Sometimes everything starts with one bottle.
