Special envoy Trump Steve Witkoff will visit Moscow this week, where he will discuss the conflict in Ukraine after allegations of spreading Russian narratives.

The special envoy of US President Donald Trump Steve Witkoff should arrive in Moscow this week, the Russian state media reported on Tuesday, referring to the advisor of Russian President Yuri Ušakov. According to AFP, TASR writes about it.

“Yes,” Ušakov answered the journalist’s question whether Witkoff will visit Moscow as part of his fourth foreign trip since the arrival of US President Trump.

Previous visit

A special envoy Trump has already visited Russia on April 11, when he met Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg. Their talks lasted more than four hours and mainly concerned the conflict in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Greenable last week accused Witkoff of the “spread of Russian narratives”. According to Zelensky, he committed this when he suggested that the peace agreement with Russia depend on the status of Russian occupied territories in Ukraine.

Witkoff, along with US Secretary of State Marc Rubi, is also planning to participate in negotiations with Britain and France officials in London on Wednesday. They will discuss the ceasefire in Ukraine and will build on a last week’s meeting in Paris.
