Dozens of firefighters have been fighting from Monday evening with a massive fire of the landfill of plastic waste in Rynholci near Kladno. Around 21.00 h, they declared a special, the highest alarm, informs TASR, referring to the websites of Novinky.cz and iDnes.cz.
The dense black pillar of the smoke was seen from all over Prague and a large part of the Central Bohemian region. The landfill of loose plastics began to burn after 6 pm. Firefighters on the X Network said it is approximately 200 times 200 meters and the waste is stored up to a height of about five meters.
As the fire failed to get under control, they were declared gradually second, third and finally a special grade of fire alarm. Firefighters recommended the people in the area not to open windows.
“It interferes with more than 36 units and others are on the road. Still, the fire is not yet under control,” They informed the evening, saying that five firefighters were injured – they overheated. The extinguishing also complicates high temperatures. Darkness does not allow to deploy a helicopter with bamboo.
