Meeting with Senate and House leaders is part of Chile’s president’s commitments to the three Brazilian powers
Chilean President Gabriel Boric visited this 4th (23.br.2025) the National Congress and was received by the presidents of the Senate and the House, (Union-AP) and (Republicans-PB), respectively.
In the conversation between Boric and Alcolumbre, they discussed how to deepen the relationship between the 2 countries and about the creation of the Ocean Route, a regional integration initiative that seeks to connect the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans through a road runner crossing Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile. The initiative is considered strategic for South American integration.
On Tuesday (22.abr), the Senator (PSD-MS), president of CRE (Foreign Relations Commission), received a delegation of Chilean congressmen in the lead of the PSD focusing on the advancement of the oceanic route.
The visit is part of a series of meetings that Boric is holding with the presidents of the three powers. Also in the 3rd (22.abr), the Chilean head of state with the president (PT). It is expected that this 4th (23.abr) he meets the president of the Supreme Court (STF), Luís Roberto Barroso.
