Czech President Paul criticizes the US proposal for a ceasefire that he believes favors Russia and may have negative consequences for the future of Europe.

According to the Czech head of State, Petr Paul, US President Donald Trump is trying to conclude any peace agreement, regardless of whether it will be advantageous for Ukraine and what consequences it will have for Europe. During the visit of the King’s Region, he responded on Wednesday to the published details of the United States proposal to a ceasefire between Moscow and Washington, reports TASR.

“When the United States came with the slogan through power, in other words – we will push both sides to receive some concessions and thus achieve a peace agreement – so I considered it a procedure that can lead to a goal.

According to him, the content of the proposal suggests that the US side is trying to conclude an agreement, whatever it can be so that Donald Trump can notify that he managed to conclude it. “Of course, we should be interested in what the peace agreement will look like, because if Russia comes out of this war and believed that the procedure it has chosen will be paid out very likely to subscribe to similar problems for the future,” added the Czech President.

The details of the American proposal

Washington’s proposal for a ceasefire between Moscow and Kiev, which appeared in the media on Wednesday, presupposes de jure recognition of Russian control of Crimea, which Moscow illegally annexed in 2014, and de facto recognition of the Russian occupation of almost the entire Luhansk region and occupied parts Russia would also have a promise that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO and the US would abolish the sanctions imposed on Russia since 2014.
