One of Pope Francis’s favorite writers, he always said it, was Leopoldo Marechal, the author of a central novel for Argentine literature, Adam Buenosayres (1948), and, among other works, of some repeated verses as a key to thought and action: “How to leave the night? […] On his night every morning he lies: from every labyrinth he goes above. ”The departure of the labyrinth, which is the search for its own destination, Jorge Bergoglio glimpsed it in Flores, the neighborhood of the west of Buenos Aires where he was born, where he played as a child and lived his first youth, where he heard the divine call. In the streets of that neighborhood that today is the same and another is already written in stone. Francisco, neighbors and believers offer the most felt signs of tribute to their memory.
