Dorival Júnior is close to being announced as new coach of Corinthians. Timon’s ambitious project was crucial to the hit.
On Tuesday (22), Fabinho Soldado traveled to Florianópolis to talk to the former coach of the Brazilian team.
According to “Trivela”, Corinthians’ soccer director presented the proposal for Dorival to take over and the coach also made his own survey about the club’s scenario.
For Dorival, Corinthians has a big cast and is among the top five in the country. Also according to the portal, Dorival was willing to pause his career, but the possibility of fighting for titles cheered the coach.

Dorival about to drive another club from São Paulo
Corinthians will be another great club from São Paulo to be led by Dorival. He has trained Santos, Palmeiras and São Paulo, as well as having experience as a technician assistant at Railway.
As a coach, he was champion of the Copa Libertadores de America in 2022, South American Recopa in 2011, three-time champion of the Brazilian Cup (2010, 2022 and 2023) and a Series B in 2009, as well as several state titles.
