2025? This year, according to the Kiwi.com report, Poles most often choose Italy. But Croatia, to which we usually travel by cars, is also increasingly chosen as an aerial direction.
Picnic at a record level
Easter initiated an upward trend, recording 60 percent. more reservations than last year. However, the picnic beats all records! Compared to the previous week, the number of travelers increased by 23 percent, and compared to Easter by as much as 58 percent. The overall increase in the picnic reservation compared to 2024 was an impressive 45 percent. It seems that Poles are thirsty for traveling and use every opportunity to break away from everyday life.
Krakow takes over the reins
For the first time in history, this Krakow airport has become the most popular starting point for May -offs of Poles using kiwi.com, dethroning the current leader – Warsaw. It is certainly worth taking a closer look at the offer of other airports, which are more and more boldly competing with Warsaw ports.
Italian romance continues, but Croatia conquers the hearts
Italy does not lose their popularity and still reign among the most frequently chosen directions. Rome, Milan, Bari, Venice, Piza and Bologna – these cities tempt with their charm and a rich cultural offer. However, the real star of this year’s picnic is Croatia, which recorded a stunning increase in popularity by as much as 440 percent.
Declines and increases – what else do numbers say?
In addition to increases and records, it is worth paying attention to some declines. Norway, which has been very popular in recent years, this year has recorded a decrease of 17 percent. Everything indicates that after winter we are thirsty for warmer and more sunny directions.
Good news for the wallet
Fortunately, for our wallets, the average prices of air tickets have dropped, and intercontinental flights are cheaper by 50 euros (around PLN 214) than last year. This is a great opportunity to make your dreams come true.

The most popular cities are: Rome, Milan, London, Paris, Barcelona, Bari, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Zadar and Copenhagen. The emerging stars are Venice, Pisa, Bologna and Alicante.
When are we going on the road?
The most popular day of going to a picnic is Wednesday, April 30, just before Labor Day. Many Poles will also go on a journey on May 1, as well as on Tuesday, April 29. Kiwi.com also shows that relaxation and de -stressing are the basic travel motivations of Poles. Over 75 percent respondents indicated them as the main reasons for traveling this year. The long May weekend is an ideal opportunity to charge the batteries and take a break from everyday duties.
