Members of the Planalto Palace were annoyed by the possible refusal of the NO leader (MA) to command the Ministry of Communications to compose the first petista echelon.
These allies of the President of the Republic now argue to review the party space on the Esplanada.
As Sheet anticipated, the deputy the invitation of Lula. Until the afternoon of Tuesday (22), however, the government had not yet been formally warned.
Pedro Lucas was announced to replace in communications on the 10th, after the then minister being (Attorney General’s Office), on charges.
The announcement of the substitute was made by the minister (Secretariat of Institutional Relations) with, the president of the Senate, (União Brasil-AP), and Juscelino.
At the meeting, according to the government, Pedro Lucas accepted the invitation, but asked for a deadline to discuss his succession in the party leadership in the House.
Days earlier, stating that the deputy was the name nominated by the party to occupy the post, leading Lula to nominally quote the parliamentarian as the first option for the ministry.
One day after the meeting at Alvorada, however, Pedro Lucas issued a statement stating that of the party in the House and, after the conversations, indicated in recent days that he should not accept.
A Lula assistant said this movement was a party disrespect to the federal government. According to him, this may lead the executive to rethink the spaces of União Brasil in the first petista echelon – and that it will depend on how the acronym conducts this process going forward.
This ally of the President of the Republic also indicated that the Ministry of Communications could be directed to another party and said that in politics there are no empty spaces. The PSD bench in the House, for example, has complained about the space in the Ministry of Fisheries and is aiming for tourism, headed by União Brasil.
Today, the party runs three ministries. In addition to communications and tourism, said the Minister of Regional Development, Waldez Góes.
Nevertheless, one minister argues that the executive does not make any decision that may further tension the relationship with the party in Congress. União Brasil has the third largest bench in the House (with 59 deputies) and seven senators, one of them alcolumbre.
Already another ally of Lula with a seat in the Planalto Palace says that the government will not be with crossed arms waiting for a position of the party. It minimizes public embarrassment with the probable refusal of the parliamentarian and argues that the negative effect will not be in the government’s image, but of the party, for exposing their differences in public.
União Brasil is marked by internal divisions. as a right-wing center caption. Today, there is a more ruling wing and another oppositionist.
Pedro Lucas has appointed allies that he will refuse the ministry to remain as leader of the House bench and avoid another election for office. His choice was a long process of almost three months because of the internal conflicts between the different groups of the subtitle, until the allies of União Brasil President Antonio Rueda prevailed.
Deputy’s allies say he could help the government more remaining in the lead. This is because it is from the ruling wing and this movement prevents an opposition name from entering its place.
Although they deal with a party problem, even petistas recognize that this shuttle generates wear to the Planalto Palace. Resulting, they say that this exposes a failure to the government’s political strategy, as Pedro Lucas’s meeting with Lula should have occurred only after the invitation is properly accepted to avoid embarrassment of a refusal.
Another parliamentarian says this represents a demoralization of the executive before Congress, exposing the federal government at a time when the Planalto Palace has low popularity and in a pre-election year, with allied base parties threatening to launch presidential candidates in 2026.
Nevertheless, parliamentarian’s allies also say they see how a mistake this posture of the deputy and the party. They claim that with this gesture Pedro Lucas may be worn out with members of the executive and governing parliamentarians.
On the other hand, there are also criticism of alcohumbre. União Brasil deputies say they see a posture of the senator to interfere with the House bench and precipitate the negotiations to get his ally, in place of Pedro Lucas.
