The Russian drone attacks hit civilian infrastructure in Poltava and Osti, five people have suffered injuries, several fires broke out.
In Russian night attacks on Ukraine, at least five people suffered injuries and civil infrastructure and businesses were damaged, Ukrainian officials said on Wednesday. According to Reuters report, TASR reports this.
“Russia has carried out a massive area in the Poltava region, three people are injured,” the Ukrainian emergency service said in a telegram post. “The enemy attack hit the city’s civilian infrastructure,” she said. As a result, several fires broke out and residential buildings, businesses, warehouses and garages were damaged, the emergency service added.
Attacks in the Odess region
Two people also suffered injuries in the attack of unmanned aircraft for the suburbs of Odessa. Several fires also broke out, said the governor of the Oleh Kiper area on the telegram. Extensive fires reported even after the attacks in Kharkov, the mayor of the city Ihor Terech wrote on the telegram. The Ukrainian air defense also reflected attacks on the Kiev region, but no damage has been reported so far.
The total range of attacks is not immediately known.
Russian defense measures
Dmitry Miljayev, the governor of the Russian Tulian region adjacent to the Moscow region, reported that air defense units destroyed several Ukrainian drones. There are no damage or injuries to persons, he said on the telegram.
The strikes came at a time when Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenský indicated a willingness to negotiate a pact that would ban attacks on civilian infrastructure, writes Reuters.
Peace negotiations continue
The European and American officials will meet London at other peace negotiations after last week’s meeting in Paris on Wednesday. The US is reportedly expecting Ukraine’s response to a ceasefire proposal, which includes the recognition of the Crimea Peninsula as a part of Russia and the unofficial recognition of Russian control over most of the Moscow occupied areas, the Axios Sources reported directly acquainted with the proposal.
