Why is the amnesty PL a priority agenda?

The project aims to remedy a trial full of excesses (lack of individualization of conduct, preventive arrests and lack of evidence to characterize a coup crime, among others)

Apologies aside, the point is that Hugo Motta does not want to displease the government

The president of the House of Representatives said he has other priorities, such as health, education and safety, instead of guiding the PL from to those involved in the invasion of the three powers on January 8, 2023. The deputy’s speech would be commendable if, in fact, these themes were priorities of Congress, and not just an excuse not to vote the project. It is curious that, when it comes to parliamentary amendments, projects linked to health, education and safety are no longer a priority. Of course, parliamentarians will claim that resources are intended for investments in schools and hospitals in some municipalities.

Excuses aside, the point is that it does not want to displease the government. Placing the amnesty plus to vote is to irritate Lula. On the other hand, not voting it is to buy a fight with the opposition. At some point, the mayor will have to get off the wall and take a position. As he just wants to vote on what is a priority for the country, here is my simple argument to help him decide.

The amnesty PL is a priority for the country, because it is not impunity, on the contrary, but remedy a trial full of excesses (lack of individualization of conduct, preventive arrests and lack of evidence to characterize the crime of coup and abolition of the democratic rule of law). Amnesty PL is about the return of democratic normality and the defense of the Democratic Rule of Law.
