The health condition of the former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonar, almost two weeks after the last intestinal operation, worsened, his doctors said on Thursday. On Thursday, the ex -president will undergo further examinations, TASR writes, according to AP and AFP reports.
The medical team at the DF Star hospital in the capital of Brazil claims that Bolsonaro “recorded clinical drop, increased blood pressure and worsening results of laboratory liver tests”. The ex-president underwent a 12-hour surgery on April 13 to reconstruct the abdominal wall and the removal of intestinal growths. It was already a sixth intervention related to the consequences of stinging in the abdomen during Bolsonar’s pre -election meeting in September 2018.
Doctors described the last operation as the most comprehensive operation. According to them, the procedure requires “very fine and prolonged postoperative care”. According to the hospital’s statement, the date of dismissal from the intensive care unit is not yet set. The ex -president continues to receive only parenteral nutrition.
