Comparison is with the same month of 2024; compared to January, the growth of 0.8%
Argentina’s economic activity recorded 0.8% growth in February compared to January. There was a 5.7% advance in the annual comparison – a slowdown in relation to the 6.5% increase in January 2025 compared to the same month of 2024, but the 4th consecutive annual increase.
The data were released on Wednesday (23.abr.br.2025) by Indec (acronym for National Institute of Statistics and Census). This is the (PDF, in Spanish – 2 MB) of the report.
According to the report, 11 sectors had highs in the annual comparison. The “Financial Intermediation” sector stands out, which increased by 30.2%.
On the other hand, 4 sectors dropped in February 2025 compared to the same month of 2024. These include “other community, social and personal services” (-2.6%) and “hotels and restaurants” (-1.4%).

The 2025. The result represents an acceleration of 1.3 percentage point compared to February ,. The accumulated rate in 12 months retreated to 55.9%. The fall was 11 percentage points compared to the 66.9% recorded in February.
Interest in Argentina
The Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina from 32% to 29% per year on January 30. In, the monetary authority stated that the decision was based on “Consideration of the consolidation observed in the expectations of falling inflation”.
