João Fonseca easily won his first appointment at Masters 1000 in Madrid. In the next round of the Spain tournament, Fonseca faces American Tommy Paul, 12th in the world ranking, on Saturday (26), at a time to be defined. It will be the first confrontation between the two tennis players in the circuit.
