Mandevila is an absolutely magnificent plant that is originally from South America. It is a woody climbing plant, which means that it will need a habitat on which it will be able to lean on something. For example, you can plant it in hanging containers or grow as overhanging. Anyway, with its beautifully colored flowers, it creates an absolutely magnificent floral waterfall. It is an evergreen plant, so it does not lose leaves even in winter. It is not maintenance -intensive, but has one drawback. It is toxic to animals, which means you have to keep it far from your four -legged friends.

How to grow Mandevil
As already mentioned, Mandevila is not particularly demanding for cultivation. Since its original homeland is South America, it needs a sunny habitat, but it is reasonable damp. It will be best in the permeable soil. Therefore, it is ideal to place it in a spacious pot, in which the aluminum compost will be. Also, there is no point in adding sand to the compost. This will make it easier to drain.
But what to do in our climate? The conditions that relate to the soil can still be met, but what if winter strikes? In the spring, the ideal temperature around 21ºC and at least 18ºC in the evening is ideal for Mandevil. In winter, however, temperatures must not drop below 15ºC. Which is a bit of a problem during our Czech winter winter. Therefore, it is ideal for mandevil to be in a heated greenhouse. There you can imitate its natural conditions best. But now there is another afflicted question, and it is how to work with it when it is a climbing plant.
Waterfall
With the climbing plant you can win beautifully. It can be slightly challenging, but once you find the right key to using its full potential, you will be able to enjoy its beauty for several years. To make Mandevils a flower waterfall, it is ideal to put a grid or obelisk on which it can grow. Mandevil will embrace around and create an absolutely magnificent floral spectacle.
