The baker “freelance” quoted by the owner of the establishment he sold, as responsible for preparing Salgado, testified on Wednesday (23) and said he took another bakery pie home, which was consumed by his family, but said none of them felt something different.
The case happened last Tuesday (22), in the Serrano neighborhood, in the northwest of the capital Belo Horizonte.
According to police, an inquiry was instituted and after the case the first surveys were carried out and the seizure of a product sample, which were exposed for sale.
The baker’s wife also gave testimony to the police as a witness to the case.
The bakery owner said the employee would have worked only six days at the scene and his last appearance would have been on Sunday (20).
This Tuesday (23), the place was banned by the BH Sanitary Surveillance. The measure was necessary since the establishment has no sanitary permit and no registration in the service to start the process for release of the document. Another factor that led to the ban was the presence of several irregularities in relation to the hygiene and sanitary structure of the site, according to the city of Belo Horizonte.

Two women, 23 and 75, and a man, 24, are in serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after they have eaten Chicken Pie supposedly poisoned.
Military police teams were fired on Tuesday (22) by employees of two different hospitals, one in BH and one in Sete Lagoas, located 70 km from the capital of Minas Gerais. The so -called occurred after patients were hospitalized with signs of poisoning.
Family members of the victims said chicken and a pies bought from an establishment in the Serrano neighborhood. When asked, the local employees told police that the family returned to the bakery hours after the purchase of food and complained that the pie was sour.
Upon finding a strong smell by workers, the purchase money was returned.
According to them, the salty were frozen since production day on Saturday (19), which were heated only at the time of sale or when they were taken to the greenhouse.
According to family reports, the medical team suspected of substance poisoning that will still be confirmed in specific examinations. However, they believe that alleged poisoning may have been caused by carbamate, organophosphate or botulinum toxin.
The case is still under investigation by the Minas Gerais Civil Police.
In a statement, PCMG reported that “the investigation will now continue the responsibility of a daily police station, for other necessary steps to investigate the case, and the Civil Police do not rule out any investigative line.”
