Pope Francis’s burning chapel continues for the second day this Thursday at the Basilica Vatican of San Pedro with the expectation of receiving thousands of faithful to say goodbye to the first Latin American pontiff.
In the early hours after its opening on Wednesday, almost 20,000 people already presented their respects against Francisco’s open coffin, installed before the imposing Baroque Baldaquino of the world’s largest church.
“It seemed to me an opportunity that never in life was going to have, to witness this manifestation of so many people,” Daniela Richino, 60 years old and resident for a few months in Rome told AFP.
