The Mayor of Recife, João Campos (PSB)said that the minister of entrepreneurship, Márcio Françatem “Total confidence” of the PSB’s national board to guide the party in Election of 2026 in São Paulo.
“Of course Márcio has full property to be able to conduct this, legitimacy and there is a lot of confidence,” said the mayor, at the exit of the event at the FHC Foundation in São Paulo, this Thursday (24).
Campos considered that they will be “closer to the election period”, but stressed that it is “clear” that the minister “always” will be supported by the subtitle, which the mayor of Recife owes.
France has reaffirmed interest in disputing the São Paulo government in 2026.

The minister ruled Sao Paulo between April and December 2018, assuming the position after today Vice President Geraldo Alckmin-then at PSDB; Today, his party colleague – abdicating office to run for president.
France ran for reelection that year, but lost in the second round to João Doria, then on the PSDB. In 2022, he did not run for the government after losing a dispute with today’s Minister Fernando Haddad (PT), and tried a place in the Senate – and could not be elected either.
This Saturday (26), the São Paulo directory of the PSB holds a congress for election of a new state direction. Campos, France, Alckmin, among other politicians, should be present.
Currently, PSB-SP is chaired by Márcio França. It is expected that state deputy Caio França, son of the minister, the succeed and commands the directory in the 2026 elections.
