O Santos frustrated with the Agreement between Corinthians and coach Dorival Júnior. Alvinegro Praiano sought the coach shortly after Pedro Caixinha’s resignation and heard that he would not be willing to take a new job at that time, shortly after his disconnection from the Brazilian team.

Already Corinthians awaits Dorival, who will sign a contract until the end of 2026. The coach can debut this Sunday (27), against Flamengo, in Maracanã, for the Serie A of the Brazilian Championship. There is also the possibility that the first game under its command will be against Grêmio Novorizontino, next Wednesday (30), for the Brazilian Cup.
Recent Dorival performance
Announced by the CBF in January 2024, with 7 wins, 7 draws and two losses. There were 25 goals scored and 17 goals conceded.
Before taking over the national team, the coach commanded Ceará, Sao Paulo and Flamengo, successfully in all clubs. After a good start at Vozão, he was called by Red-Black, where he won the Brazilian Cup titles and Libertadores in 2022.
After leaving Flamengo, he won a Brazil Cup for Sao Paulo in 2023.
