Recipe for potato meatballs with ham and cheese
To prepare potato meatballs with ham and cheese you will need the following ingredients: 2 tablespoons of avocado or olive oil for frying, 3 cups of crushed potatoes, 3/4 cup finely chopped ham, 3/4 cup grated cheddar, 1/4 cup chounds, 2 egg Salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well until everything is uniformly connected and uniform mass is formed. Heat the large non -stick pan at medium temperature and add a few tablespoons of oil. With a spoon for ice cream, gradually remove the same amount of potato mixture to make meatballs of the same size. Gently rub your hands with oil to make your mixture better. Mold the meatballs to the desired size and put them on the pan. Or you can put them directly on the pan and gently press them with a spatula. Fry the meatballs for about 5-7 minutes from each side until they are golden and crunchy.
Useful advice and storage
If you want your potato meatballs to get the best taste, don’t forget one rule. Tast, taste, taste. Always taste the mixture before adding salt to ensure that potatoes and ham have the right taste. But also the amount of flour can be affected by potato consistency.
If the potatoes are too soft, add a little more flour to hold the mixture together. Another useful tip is the use of a non -stick pan to make it easier to prepare and reduce the amount of oil needed for frying. If the meatballs are attached, you probably used too little oil. Just add a little more and let the pan preheat well.
As for storage, if you want to keep the meatballs for later, let them cool first to room temperature. Then spread them on a baking sheet and freeze for about 2 hours. Once they solidify, transfer them to a large freezer bag from which you push the air and freeze them for up to 3 months. If you want, you can divide them into smaller bags, which will make defrosting easier. Leave them in the refrigerator overnight while thawing. If you want to warm them up, the easiest way is to put them in the microwave for a short time. But to achieve a crispy crust, it is ideal to heat them in a pan at medium low temperature, this time without adding oil. So if you have a taste, you can boldly start preparing!
