According to information gathered by the newspaper Folha do Sul Online, the family was preparing for a home celebration, a night of pizza that brought together relatives living in four homes built on the same terrain. After raising the money for the event, the child’s grandparents went to pick up the pizzas and, upon returning, his grandfather, maneuvering the reverse car, did not realize that Aylla was on the way.
The girl’s mother, Fernanda, 9 months pregnant with her third child, reported in an excited interview that she was in the room with her husband preparing to bathe the baby when she heard the gate opening. Asking her husband to check what was happening, he left and soon began to scream.
The grandparents, in a panic, placed their granddaughter in the car and immediately took it to the Vilhena Regional Hospital. Fernanda, learning of the accident, tried to call a motorcycle to get to the hospital quickly with her daughter’s documents, but was eventually taken by a neighbor after claiming that the Military Police car, present at the scene, did not assist.
At the hospital, doctors tried to revive Aylla for about 40 minutes. Despite the efforts, the little one could not resist the injuries. According to the medical team, the child’s lung was well affected, leading to an irreversible cardiac arrest.
Amid pain, Fernanda vented: “And that’s how, at 1 year, 5 months and 5 days, my Aylla went to live with God. I had made birthday on the 22nd, and on the 25th I lost my daughter.”
In a moment of deep emotion, she left a message to her parents: “Enjoy your children, because tomorrow nobody knows; my princess was all the afternoon playing in the backyard and at night it all happened.”
