Iran and the United States have celebrated an indirect meeting this Saturday in the capital of Oman, Mascate, where they will deal with the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic and in which the Iranian part will try that USA Withdraw at once the sanctions imposed against your country.
“The prompt elimination of sanctions, illegal and inhuman, is a priority that we seek to achieve,” said Iran’s exterior spokesman, Esmaeil Baqaei. “We are going to verify how it would be and prepared for the other party to reach an agreement,” he added.
As in the other meetings, held in Mascate and Roma, the delegation will be led by Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, and the special envoy of the US for the Middle East and Russia, Steve Witkoff.
“We are determined to safeguard the legitimate and legal right of the Iranian people to the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, and at the same time, we are willing to take reasonable measures to guarantee the fully peaceful nature of our nuclear program,” the Iranian stressed in X (formerly known as Twitter).
The meeting has been held just a few days after the American announcement of new sanctions against Asadulá Emamjomé, an Iranian magnate of liquefied gas, in addition to other companies that uses to get oil outdoors dodging the restrictions previously imposed by the White House to Tehran.
It should be noted that the contacts between both powers are the first since the withdrawal of the US in 2018 (during the first mandate of Republican Donald Trump) of the nuclear agreement signed between the main world and tehran powers. Since that time, the distancing of Iran with respect to its commitments acquired with the International Atomic Energy Agency (OIEA) has been increasingly evident.
