The Espírito Santo Civil Police arrested, at dawn on Friday (25), the action was carried out by agents of the Specialized Division of Theft and Vehicle Theft (DFRV) in Cariacica (ES), in the Metropolitan Region of Vitória.
Felipe was arrested around 5am in the Santa Luzia neighborhood. After noticing the presence of the agents, the criminal tried to escape, jumping walls of neighboring real estate and accessing another street.
During the attempted escape, the suspect came across a police officer, disobeyed the stop order and tried to take the agent’s firearm.
Given this, other police officers present in the tactical siege fired two shots to contain it. The criminal was hit in one of the buttocks and on the foot. Even wounded, he tried to continue the escape, but was captured by other police officers near the Governador José Sette highway.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was triggered and Felipe was sent to the State Hospital of Emergency and Emergency, in Vitória, where he remains hospitalized under police escort. After discharge, the criminal will be sent to the prison system, where he will remain available to the court.
Suspect dies in operation
. Two other criminals were arrested in the operation.
Individuals – 27, 29 and 32 – were monitored by the team of the Specialized Police Crimes and Vehicle Theft (DFRV). According to, the suspects were approached in a car while driving along BR-239.
Previously, the DFRV team announced to Baixo Guandu that there was an individual leading a Toyota Hilux that had been stolen in the region. The PM tried to locate it, but the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled. Subsequently, the same criminal entered the Fiat Siena vehicle with the other two suspects.
The criminals did not obey the police order of the police and, according to police, one of them threatened to shoot the agents. Given this, one of the police fired at the group. One of the 32 suspects was shot on the face. He could not resist his injuries and died on the spot. The other two were arrested.
On February 6, a 24 -year -old man suspected of also joining the “Hilux gang” was captured in the Cariacica Headquarters neighborhood of Cariacica.
According to the Civil Police, between January 19 and February 6, seven Toyota Hilux pickup trucks were stolen in Greater Vitória, five of which were recovered. The group used tracker blockers and devices to unlock and start the stolen vehicles.
