The PRD, a party that arose from the merger between E, announced on Friday (25) the cancellation of the former president’s affiliation, who was arrested at dawn in Maceió to serve a sentence for the crimes of passive and money laundering.
PRD leader in the House, Deputy Fred Costa (MG) told the Sheet that Collor entered the party due to the merger with the PTB and was unaware of his affiliation. “We didn’t even know he was affiliated. Who discovered was the press,” he said. “We are canceling his record.”
Collor ran for the PTB government in 2022 and was third, with 14.71% of the valid votes.
The PRD issued a statement to say that he learned on Friday that Collor had the last appeal denied in the process related to Operation Lava Jato and will not speak about the trial, but canceled his record, as he has suspended political rights.

The party has five federal deputies.
