With the end of the trial, the hairdresser is convicted of the crimes of violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup, armed criminal association, qualified damage and deterioration of the overturned heritage.
After the publication of the decision, Deborah’s defense may appeal the decision. She is under house arrest.
Divergence
The trial was suspended last month by a request for a view of Minister Luiz Fux, who returned the case to trial.
In the demonstration issued today, Fux voted for conviction for one year and six months in prison for the crime of deterioration of overturned assets. The minister acquitted the accused of crimes against democracy.
“What is reaped from the case is the sole evidence that the defendant was in Brasilia, in the Praça dos Três Powers, on January 8, 2023 and that confessedly wrote the words” lost, Mané “in the statue already mentioned,” said the minister.
After Fux’s vote, Moraes published an addendum to her vote to reaffirm that she participated in the scammer acts and should also be convicted of crimes against democracy, not only for the depredation.
According to Alexandre de Moraes, Deborah confessed that she left the interior of São Paulo, came to Brasilia and was camped in front of the Army Barracks to participate in the scammers.
EN ”Débora Rodrigues dos Santos sought, in a clear attack on democracy and the rule of law, the realization of a coup d’état with decree of intervention by the Armed Forces,” said the minister.
Defense
At the beginning of the trial, the lawyers said they received the vote of Minister Alexandre with “deep dismay.” According to the defense, the vote for the conviction of 14 years in prison is a “shameful milestone in the history of the Brazilian judiciary”.
