O XG made his debut on Brazilian soil Last Thursday (24) and, in addition to gathering hundreds of fans at Tokio Marine Hall, the South Korean Japanese group also attracted Pabllo Vittar’s presence in the audience.
Chisa, Cocona, Harvey, Hinata, Juria, Jurin e Mai They made their debut in 2022, when XG debuted with their first single called “Tippy Toes.” In the same year, the girls released the single mascara, and made their first public appearance during M Countdown on the South Korean music channel Mnet.
On September 27, 2023, XG launched “New DNA”the first EP of the group and which won Golden Certificate by Recording Industry Association of Japan (Riaj), beating over 100,000 copies.
With the great success of its singles in 2024, the group announced its first world tour, with shows through Asia, North America and Europe; And, in short, they participated in the soundtrack of the Riot Games game, Valorant, with a special single for the game, called “Undefeated”.
But the girls did not stop there and, before landing in Brazil, also released their second EP, called “Awe”. Released in November 2024, the album received the title as a way to connect with its audience, which had already associated with the group the theme “Wolf” and use this identity of “Alcateia” to connect with the members. Even in an interview with Elle magazine, Chisa stated that “Awe” has the same pronunciation as a wolf’s howling.
