On Thursday (24), the street leading to the school where the attack occurred was isolated by security forces

The high school student who died on Thursday (24) in a knife attack by another student at a private school in Nantes, western, was stabbed 57 times, said the prosecutor on Friday (25). The crime occurred around 12:30 pm local time (07h30 Brasília) at the Notre Dame de Toutes Aides school. The prosecutor, Antoine Leroy, confirmed at a press conference on Friday (25) that the aggressor had “clear suicidal trends.”

The teenager who died suffered “57 stab wounds, especially in the upper body, skull and throat,” added Leory, citing the autopsy results. “As things are, there are no triggering factors that help us understand” this tragedy, he explained. However, the motivation of “a possible affective relationship with the young woman he killed” was discarded, he said.

The young man was “extremely lonely” and fascinated by Hitler. However, the investigators have not yet been able to definitely explain the motivations of the attack. “People knew him as a depressive; he said he loved Hitler,” a school student told AFP.

Just before attacking his colleagues, the attacker sent a confusing email. In the message, he spoke about “Globalization [que] It turned our system into a human decomposition machine ”and called for a“ biological revolt ”so that“ the natural balance, however cruel ”, can recover“ its place ”in the face of“ globalized ecocide ”.

School students paid tribute to the victims this Friday putting flowers at the entrance of the school.
