The young woman found dead and buried in a forest area near the quarry of the municipality of Diamantino (MT) is Letícia Maria da Silva Campos, 24. Before being killed, the victim was beaten with punches, strokes on his face and neck, and was stunned. Three brothers were arrested on Friday (25/4), the same date the body was located by the police.
Leticia Maria had been missing since April 19, when she left home to go to a tobacco shop in the city of Alto Paraguay. Since that Saturday, she has not returned home and her mother was desperate without having news from her daughter.

On Monday (21/4), a police report was registered and the searches were started by the Mato Grosso Civil Police.
Through security cameras of the MT Watchtower Program, the agents found that the young woman left the tobacharia at 5 am on Sunday morning (20/4). She entered a vehicle with four occupants, the three brothers and a friend.
Investigation
According to police, those involved had eaten alcohol and narcotics. The car in which the young woman was headed towards the gym of Alto Paraguay. The police found that at one point she realized something wrong and pulled the car’s ignition key.
At this point, according to the agents, the friend left and the trio began to beat the young woman with punches, strangling, strokes on her face and neck until she died.
Then the suspects hid the body of Leticia and went looking for a relative to ask him to lend the vehicle to tow the brothers’ car.
Using the family’s car, the trio removed the young woman’s body from where she was beaten and killed. The brothers took Leticia to a place near a quarry in the Diamantino region and buried it there.
Delegate Marcos Martins Bruzzi said that during the information gathering, it was possible to obtain the license plate and the characteristics of the vehicle in which the victim entered.
“Throughout the week, the Civil Police worked tirelessly to investigate what happened, resulting in the identification and arrest of the three brothers and the location of the victim’s body, unfortunately lifeless,” the delegate added.
With the arrest in the act of the three brothers, investigations continue to carry out other steps to verify that there were other crimes, such as rape. They also investigate the possible participation of other people in the crime.
The police inquiry filed by the Diamantino Police Station will be completed within 10 days.
