Working cause party criticized the court’s decision to condemn a woman who spotted a statue with lipstick at 14 years in jail
The PCO, a left -bound party, used its X profile on Saturday (26.abr.br.2025) for the Supreme Court (STF) after the 1st Class Débora Rodrigues dos Santos, the woman who crashed the statue “The Justice” with a lipstick on January 8, 14 years in prison.
The party cited the military regime (1964-1985) to criticize the court: “The dictatorship was illegitimate, and citizens took weapons to fight the regime. It was an unfair judgment, but it is still fairer than this. It’s hard to find something as bad as this one.”.
“She was sentenced to 14 years because she used a lipstick to spark the statue of the Three Powers, in front of the STF. That’s why. It’s no use saying she was convicted of other crimes – they are an invention of the STF.”said PCO.
Deborah was convicted of 5 crimes:
- Armed criminal association;
- Violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law;
- coup d’etat;
- Damage qualified by violence and serious threat, using flammable substance, against the union’s assets and with considerable damage to the victim;
- deterioration of listed assets.
For the party, the “Maximum that could happen was that she gets a fine. ”
