Once cold, it’s time to start throwing it. In my case, I used these taps for several weeks, especially the weekend in which I organized dinners and meals with friends so that we could get the most out of them. In addition, when analyzing and assessing them I took into account the following aspects:

Why have we chosen it: As soon as I took it out of the box, its design seemed elegant and robust, resembling a traditional bar shooter but with a small size. Before using it I proceeded to install it, something that was quite simple: I simply placed a compatible barrel and connected the cooling system. One of the aspects that I liked the most was its ability to maintain cold beer until 2 ° C, which guarantees that each cane comes out at the ideal temperature.

And this model maintains a temperature range between 2 and 12 ºC, which can be regulated according to the needs or tastes. And, for example, IPA beers are usually taken slightly cold (between 7 and 10 ºC), while lagers must be served between 3 and 7 ºC. All this can be monitored through its LED indicator, which indicates the interior temperature of the beer.

It is compatible with 5 -liter universal barrels, which gives flexibility when choosing different brands. In addition, another thing that caught my attention is that it has additional space for up to 4 bottles of beer or 12 cans when it is not being used as a dispenser. On the other hand, the pressure is adjustable and allows to serve with the fair amount of foam, something that is appreciated to achieve that professional touch.

The experience when serving the beer was quite good, since it comes out with ideal pressure that allows you to throw a cane with body, some fingers of cream and, above all, a good taste. For a better experience, I always recommend wetting the glass to serve beer in it and tilting some degrees while the cane is being thrown.

But not everything is perfect. Although the cooling system is effective, it takes several hours to reach the optimal temperature if the barrel was not previously refrigerated, which can be an inconvenience if you want to use it immediately. Another point to improve is engine noise, which although it is not exaggerated, is noticeable when it is in operation.

In general, the Cecotec Beerflow Steel 5000 is a highly recommended option for beer lovers looking for a more authentic experience at home, since it combines an attractive design, good maintenance of temperature and compatibility with standard barrels, all for a fairly competitive price.

Your weak points: It takes several hours to cool completely.

Operation with CO2 cartridges: Klarstein Skal beer tap

Who is it for: Those who want a dispenser with professional design and work with cartridge.

Why have we chosen it: Like the previous model, it has an elegant design, with a stainless steel finish that gives it a modern and professional appearance and is a bit larger. It has quite similar characteristics to the Cecotec model but its main difference is that it uses CO2 cartridge to provide the necessary pressure when dispensing beer. However, it is very simple to install and use, since you only have to introduce the barrel inside, put the cartridge, connect them and plug the tap in light.

They also have integrated cooling system, which allows beer to cool between 12 and 2 ° C. In my experience, if the barrel was already cold before placing it, I kept the temperature without problems, but if the barrel was at room temperature, we had to wait a few hours to reach the ideal point. Another positive aspect is the adjustable pressure, which allowed me to adjust the amount of foam according to my preferences. In addition, the shooter is soft and precise, so throwing beer does not have much difficulty.

However, like the winning model it makes a lot of noise when used, especially in small or silent spaces. It is not unbearable, but it shows when the engine is running. In addition, although it is compatible with 5 -liter barrels, some models require additional adapters, which can be an inconvenience if you do not have them at hand. In addition, the grid where the beer that is wasted during use is stored has little capacity, so I had to be emptying it several times in a row.

Your weak points: It makes noise and its rack has little capacity.

High -end tap: Krups VB700e00 beer tap

Who is it for: who looks for a quality tap and that has a good budget to acquire it.

Why have we chosen it: It is a beer tap designed in stainless steel and that has a professional appearance, resembling that of any bar or restaurant. The characteristics are really quite similar to the two previous models, as it also has capacity for 5 -liter barrels, uses a pressure system to dispense the beer and has refrigeration capacity, in this case maintaining the temperature in 3ºC constantly. It has two LED indicators that report on temperature and pressure level.

It seems to me that it has a very high price for what it really offers. In this case, it costs 340 euros when you can get the same experience of using some of the other models that are around 150 euros. In addition, it is only compatible with the Sub barrels, which quite limits the variety of beers available compared to other models that accept 5 -liter universal barrels. Another detail is that the cooling system may take several hours to reach the optimal temperature if the barrel was not previously cold.

Your weak points: very expensive and less compatibility than other models.

Tower form: Good + Gadgets Cult Beer Tower beer tap

Who is it for: people looking for a cheap tap and not using barrel.

Why have we chosen it: It is the most different model than all who participate in the comparison, in addition to the cheapest. And it is not a pressure beer tap and with barrel like the rest, but it is a dispenser that has a deposit in which to introduce the drink and then throw it from the tap that it has incorporated.

It is more thought for people who do not want to invest too much money in a beer dispenser, since the other models analyzed exceed 100 euros and it costs 50. It has about four liters of capacity and to use it you have to fill its deposit located at the top. Ideally, beer is already cold, because it has no cooling function as the most advanced models. Anyway, it has ice that can be introduced inside to cool it.

The experience of use is well taking into account its price, but obviously you can not get a cane as well thrown as with the other models. It seems to me an option that is not bad to place at a party, since it can also be filled with other drinks that are not exclusively beer, such as a lemonade of flavors, iced tea or even some cocktail.
