Negotiations in Oman were open and professional. The aim is to solve the disputed points in the next rounds.

Iran and the United States are planning to continue negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program in the next week, said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakči after the third round of the Oman meeting, which took place on Saturday. TASR received the report from DPA.

“Negotiations took place very openly and professionally,” said Arakči after meeting with a special US envoy Steve Witkoff, which lasted several hours.

Negotiations should continue the same line -up next Saturday in Oman. Arakčí informed the Iranian news agency Isna that the negotiations should also be attended by the head of the Iranian nuclear agency Mohammad Esla. In addition to political interviews, there were also technical negotiations, and Arakčí said that the initial goal was to identify the disputed points that should be gradually resolved in the next rounds of the negotiations.

“We are carefully optimistic,” he added.

According to US President Donald Trump, the main goal of negotiations is to prevent Tehran in the development of a nuclear bomb. In case of failure to negotiate, Iran threatened with military intervention. Iran claims that its aim is not to develop nuclear weapons, but refuses to completely give up the civil nuclear program.
