Minister authorized house arrest for women’s health reasons; She will wear an electronic anklet

Vildete was sentenced to 11 years and 11 months in prison. It has been detained since June 6, 2024, for about 10 months.
She is accused of having committed the Following Crimes:
- Violent abolition of the democratic rule of law: 4 years imprisonment sentence;
- Coup d’etat: Penalty of 4 years and 2 months imprisonment;
- Qualified Damage: penalty of 1 year and 3 months of detention and 50 days of fine;
- Deterioration of listed heritage: penalty of 1 year and 3 months imprisonment and 50 days of fine;
- Armed criminal association: penalty of 1 year and 3 months imprisonment.
The elderly woman was also ordered to pay the minimum indemnity amount for collective moral damages of $ 30 million, to be paid jointly and severally to the other convicted.

Electronic anklet
In the decision granted house arrest, Moraes ordered the use of an electronic anklet. The equipment will be provided by the São Paulo State Penitentiary Administration Secretariat, which will also have to send weekly reports on monitoring.
The elderly woman is also prohibited from using social networks, even through third parties, and to keep in touch with others involved in the case.
Vildete will not yet be able to interview national or international media, unless the Supreme Court issues an express authorization.
Visits are restricted to formally appointed lawyers and close relatives such as siblings, children and grandchildren or others previously authorized by the Court.
