The best salad for healthy intestines. You will make it with sauerkraut

Self -prepared sauerkraut salad It is extremely delicious and no purchase in the store can even compare with it. Just a few basic ingredients, including carrots, salt and sugar to prepare a unique addition to each dinner in 2-3 days. It is characterized by a classic, moderately acid taste, ideal for fish or meats. In one go, you can prepare quite a large amount of this salad, and then only pull it out of the fridge if necessary.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

  • 3 kg of white cabbage,
  • 2 heaped tablespoons of salt,
  • 2 carrots,
  • 1 Czuby teaspoon of sugar.

Brine:

  • 1.5 liters of water,
  • 2 heaped tablespoons of salt.

Additionally:

  • parsley for sprinkling,
  • Spring dill.

Finely chop the cabbage and place it in a large bowl. Add grated carrots with large mesh. Add salt and sugar. Mix the whole with your hands. Transfer the whole to a large pot or acid resistant to a bowl.

Prepare a brine by mixing water and salt. Pour the cabbage with a mixture. Press it with a plate so that the liquid completely covers the vegetables. Put something heavy on the plate and cover the whole pot with a lid.

Set aside the salad of sauerkraut in a dark place, at room temperature, for 2-3 days. After fermentation, move the cabbage to a large bowl and leave it open for about 2 hours. Then put the salad into the jars and pour it on the remaining liquid in the bowl.

Put the jars in the fridge and use within 12 months. Serve the salad cold, sprinkled with chopped dill and parsley.
