Like most of the first -time entrepreneurs, Sandra Gioffi saw the origin of her business to be connected to a personal discomfort.
Training psychologist and experienced human resources professional, Sandra is today at the forefront is yours, an impact startup that connects candidates for companies in selective processes based on diversity.
The premise of the company is in seeking invisible talents, especially of peripheral origin, betting on inclusion to promote more diverse work environments and aligned with ESG guidelines, increasingly on the agenda today.
The platform was born in 2021 when, amid the selection of professionals, the entrepreneur realized that unconscious biases were still barriers for diversity to advance admission processes.
“It was not admissible for me to hear that it simply“ did not exist ”a black professional, for example, to occupy a certain position. These talents exist, we are simply not looking for the right place,” he says.
With colleagues – and current partners – she founded the platform that seeks to reverse the common logic of recruitment processes. In practice, the startup does not act as conventional employment platforms, which promote vacancies and await candidates register spontaneously.
The goal of the job is yours is to reverse this dynamic, taking the vacancies to the candidates – wherever they are.
“We understand that many candidates often do not have the resources to go to this job search. The job should come to him,” explains Sandra.
The look outside of conventional recruitment channels leads the startup to act directly with shelters, social organizations and impact movements and NGOs, creating partnerships and receiving nominations of candidates with profiles suitable for each open vacancy.
Enabling these processes is also, in essence, an attempt to solve a chronic social problem: the disparity between the number of open work positions and the required technical knowledge of each of them.
According to Sandra, currently 14% of trained professionals are unable to get employment compatible with their level of education in the country.
“As soon as they graduate, professionals are surprised by a series of qualification requirements, including the need for experience and proficiency in other languages - not to mention the cutouts and gender clippings, which still have a colossal influence on the market,” he says.
“Many talents are hidden in places that conventional recruitment processes are unable to see. The platform bets on the search for these talents, showing that with opportunity and support, it is possible to get even further,” he says.
Given this, the job is its seeking to reduce the gap between qualification and employability, facilitating the bridge between talents and companies equally concerned with breaking this reality.
In the target of O Peça is yours are companies that are already eyeing the agenda of diversity, especially that of socioeconomic character.
The platform operates in São Paulo and Minas Gerais. So far, 1,000 people have been impacted and on average 600 hires.
“Far beyond the numbers, we look at the life change that each of these people had. It is gratifying to realize that a graduate can now be occupying positions that has always dreamed, in his area,” he says.
For the next two years, the startup’s goal is to put another 1,500 people in the market, in positions related to their areas. “Our dream is to make everyone pierce this bubble, helping professionals to work with what they dream of,” he says.
