The Kosovo Court issued a warrant for a Serbian entrepreneur and politician Milan Radoičič and his 19 collaborators for suspicion of committing war crimes against ethnic Albanians in Djakovica, prosecutors confirmed on Monday. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.

According to the arrest warrant, as of April 15, Radoicic, along with other men, was part of the Armed Group of the Serbs, which killed a total of 106 Albanian civilians during the war in 1999. She allegedly forcibly led them out of their houses before killing them.

Allegations of crimes

“After the war, their bodies were found in a mass grave in Batajnica, Serbia,” says the Pristina court decision. According to the statement, Radoičič and 19 other men are also suspected of “detention and imprisonment of 300 other civilians from the Albanian community and other ethnic communities who were first held in improvised prisons” and treated them inhuman.

Radoičič is a former chairman of the Serbian candidate (Serpian Lista) and a rich entrepreneur with ties to the Government Serbian Progressive Party (CIS) and President Aleksandr Vučič. The Kosovo authorities have been sought since September 2023, when the Serbian commando led by the Kosovo police patrol.

After shooting in Kosovo, in which the policeman and three attackers, the authorities in Serbia, were briefly detained by Radoicic, who escaped there for suspicions of criminal union, illegal possession of weapons and explosives and serious acts against public security.

He himself denied it, but later admitted that he led a group of gunmen who attacked the Kosovo police. Serbia claims that this group acted on its own, and against Radoicic did not charge the accusation, so it remains free.

Long -term voltage

The tension between Kosovo and Serbia has been on the end of the war. Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008, but Belgrade refuses to recognize it and still considers it his province. During the war between Serbian government forces and Albanian separatists in Kosovo, more than 10,000 people were killed, mostly ethnic Albanians. It was finished by up to 78-day bombing of NATO forced Serbian troops to withdraw from Kosovo.

The interviews between the two parties that mediate the European Union and the United States are slowly progressing and have not yet made any significant progress, AFP writes.
