The Brazilian team will have a new and unpublished reserve uniform in the color from March 2026, according to information from the site specializing in clubs and selections Footy Headlines.
According to the publication, the uniform will wear a “modern and vibrant” red base and will be manufactured by Jordan, a brand controlled by Nike, sponsor of the national team since 1996.
Traditionally, the team’s reserve uniform is in blue color. Sought, the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) said it did not confirm the information.
The Confederation Statute provides that the selection can only wear uniforms with the colors on the entity’s flag (blue, yellow, green and white).
There is an expected exception for commemorative events, which needs to be approved by the CBF board.
In 2023, a black shirt was launched in honor of Vinicius Junior, used in a 4-1 defeat against Guinea in a friendly against racism.
According to Footy Headlines, the uniform was designed thinking about Brazilian participation in the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Brazil is fourth in the South American qualifying chart, with 21 points, still with no place guaranteed in the World Cup.
