Vienna/Schwechat-The Lufthansa subsidiary Austrian Airlines (AUA) flown a loss of more than 100 million euros in the first quarter of 2025. Management still expects a higher profit for this year than in 2024. Aua boss Anette Mann said in the broadcast on Tuesday that the airline was equipped for the customer rush in the travel-based summer months. Many airlines write losses in winter, but they will catch up again in the course of the year. According to Mann, the goal is to “exceed the previous year’s result significantly”.
