The Prime Minister’s liberal party won the federal elections in the Associated Press.
The victory in the sealing a dramatic overthrow for the liberals as a few months ago it all showed that the conservatives would be on the helm of the country. However, the data changed after Donald Trump’s duties and the threats of annexation to make Canada the 51st state.
‘Our old relationship with the United States is over’
Mark Carney, in the speech of victory that he spoke to in Ottawa, said his country should never forget the American “betrayal”.
“Our old relationship with the United States is over” because “President Trump is trying to pay us to have us at his disposal,” he also said, calling the country in a unity for the “difficult months that will require sacrifices.”
The Liberals won despite the suspension of the election campaign caused by the police ruled terrorism, stating that the suspect had a history of mental health problems.

The leader of the Conservative Party of Canada Pier Pier Pierrevre, who recognized his defeat, promised to work with Carney to defend Canada’s interests against Trump’s attacks.
“The Conservatives will work with the Prime Minister and all parties to defend the interests of Canada and achieve a new trade agreement, which will leave behind customs duties while protecting our sovereignty,” Pierre Pierrevr said to Pierrea.
Question mark the majority government
It is not yet clear whether the Liberal Party will be able to form a majority government (it takes 172 seats in the House of Commons in a total of 343). The leader of the party who will win the majority of seats in the House of Commons will form a new government and be prime minister.
If no party wins the majority, a party – usually the one with the most seats – can form a minority government, but must rely on the support of some opposition members. In rare cases, two or more parties may reach an official agreement to form a joint coalition government.
The polls are now closed.
For 37 days, in every corner of this country, our team worked to build a stronger Canada.
Thank you to everyone who put so much into this campaign.
