A new National National Hospital of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik should be built in Vajnory on the land of the Ministry of Defense. The project is to be allocated almost 200 million euros from the renewal plan. They want to start building this year. This was reported by Voice-SD chairman and Minister of Interior Matúš Šutaj Eštok and Minister of Health Kamil Šaško (Voice-SD), who will bring the material for the construction of the National Hospital on Wednesday (30 April) for the government’s exit meeting to Malá Lehota.
According to the Minister of Health, the new hospital will provide care at the highest fifth level. It will have 950 beds, 850 classic and 150 intense. They expect more than 44,000 hospitalized patients to serve approximately 150 outpatient clinics and fully equipped diagnostic workplaces annually, he said.
“This hospital will be in a complete medical profile, including education and research. Will be on a plot that will not only allow the construction of the end hospital itself, but the overall vision for Bratislava health”He said.
At the same time, he wants the National Institute of Child Diseases to be moved to this complex. “Together in one place to serve all patients who need health care,” Šaško said.
According to the Minister, it will also be a university hospital and will form the basis of education of future doctors, nurses, health professionals. “It will be a top space for our scientists and researchers,” noted. The construction of the new National University Hospital was originally envisaged in the Bratislava Rázsochy. The government later took the construction in Ružinov.
