On the afternoon of Monday, 28, a garbage truck from the Municipal Secretariat of Works of Cruzeiro do Sul hit the wall of a residence on Dom Pedro de Alcântara Street, in the São José neighborhood. The accident occurred during a cleaning task force in the community.
According to information, the truck lost strength while trying to climb a slope and eventually came down, colliding against the wall. A video recorded by residents shows the situation of the vehicle after the incident. The municipal secretary of works, Carlos Alves, reported that the damage was only material and that no one was injured. A mechanical shovel was used to remove the truck, which returned to function normally.
As for the reached wall, the secretary assured that the city will reconstruct the damaged space. The municipal authorities continue to accompany the situation to ensure the reparation of the damage and the continuity of cleaning services in the city.
