The Civil Police arrested, on Tuesday (29), 16 people in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, suspected of involvement in a drug trafficking scheme and money laundering. The investigation pointed out that the group has moved $ 40 million in the last two years.
54 search and seizure warrants and 18 pre -trial arrest warrants were served in four states during Operation Remap. Among the cities are Cruz Alta, Santa Maria and Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul; Foz do Iguaçu, in Paraná; São Paulo and cities of the coast of Santa Catarina.
The investigation began after the seizure of R $ 88,860.00 with one of the investigated, during the military brigade approach. The man would be involved with the target criminal organization of the operation.
The scheme involved the receipt, in Cruz Alta, of drugs that came from other states, such as São Paulo and Santa Catarina. More than 100kg of cocaine were sent to Rio Grande do Sul, as well as large amounts of synthetic drugs.
To conceal the origin of values and, according to police, the organization used companies.
