Two workers were suspended 100 meters from the ground in Madrid during the blackout

During the blackout that left Portugal and Spain without energy, two workers were trapped 100 meters as they cleaned windows at the Castellana Tower in Madrid. The power cut turned the engine from the crane where they were, leaving them suspended in the air.

The rescue operation took more than four hours. Firefighters, unable to download the platform, chose to raise it manually until the top of the building, in a slow process that was followed with seizure by several people on site. The two workers were removed are and saved.
