Singer faces sequelae of a hemorrhagic stroke since 2017, lives with tracheostomy and is fed by gastrostomy
It is hospitalized at the Intensive Care Center (CTI) of Barra D’Or Hospital in Rio de Janeiro. The 66 -year -old singer was diagnosed with pneumonia. The information was confirmed through an official note published on the artist’s profile and also shared by his wife, Babi Cruz, on Tuesday (29). According to the statement, Arlindo remains clinically stable, with vital signs preserved, but receives intensive care due to his health condition already considered delicate. “The case inspires extra care, being closely monitored by your medical team,” says the note. “We thank the affection, prayers and respect of all fans, friends and the press at this time.” Arlindo’s last hospitalization had occurred in July 2024, when he was hospitalized to treat a bradycardia. At the time, Babi Cruz reported that the sambista was at home and reacted well to recovery: “He wants to live, he has the strength to live, he wants to stay here,” he said.
