Investments total R $ 2 billion; Highlight goes to agricultural terminal bid by BTG in Paranaguá (PR)
The (National Waterway Transport Agency) leased 3 terminals in Paranaguá (PR) and 1 in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) in the 1st port auction of 2025, for R $ 2.74 billion in all. The auctions were held this Wednesday (30.br.2025) at the headquarters of (São Paulo Stock Exchange).
The highlight was the area Par14focused on shipping products such as soybean bran, corn and soy in grain. The notice estimates investments of R $ 1.187 billion over 35 years. The asset was awarded for R $ 225 million by the consortium formed by BTG Pactual Commodities and Sertrading SA, after clash with Ictsi Americas.
Already the terminal Par15which moves vegetable solid bulk, will receive R $ 656.85 million in investments in the contractual period. Cargill Brazil won the dispute with an offer of R $ 411 million. The installation is able to move 4 million tons per year.
Already the block Par25with forecast of R $ 216.98 million in contributions, was granted to the ALDC consortium for R $ 219 million. The final dispute also involved Ictsi Americas, which did not take any of the 3 assets.
In the port of Rio, the area Rdj11 had only 1 interested. The Porto de Rio de Janeiro consortium took the terminal for R $ 2.1 million. With a simplified model of 10 years of contract, R $ 6.8 million is foreseen in contributions for movement and storage of solid bulk and general load.
Interest in the areas reflects, especially, the demand of large commodity trads, which dominated the auction.
