Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Wednesday, 30, that the government’s orientation is “evidently” to repair the damage to people who were injured with improper discounts at the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), but pointed out that the way this will be done has not yet been formatted. He dealt with this on Tuesday, 29, with the Minister of the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU), Vinícius de Carvalho.

“We are waiting for CGU and AGU involving ourselves in a subsequent step in addressing this. This issue is still in the CGU,” Haddad told journalists when asked about government planning to compensate who was affected.

The minister pointed out that the issue also depends on the calculation of discounts that were not actually authorized by the beneficiaries.

“There are complaints that were made throughout this period, which were formalized. But there is a set of retirees who did not formalize the complaint, but would have the right to be shown that the debt was made improperly,” said the minister, according to whom the government will find a way to repair who was injured.
