Several tourists killed after attack in Caxemira

There are several nights that are registered cross -fire of light artillery between Pakistani and Indian soldiers along the “line of control”

The forces of Pakistan opened fire again against Indian positions in various sectors along the border, this dawn, in the disputed region of Caxemira, today confirmed official sources of India.

The Pakistani forces began shots of small weapons, aiming at Indian positions in sensitive areas.

Indian troops positioned along the “control line”, the ‘de facto’ border that separates the Indian and Pakistani zones from Caxemira, “responded effectively to unlocked shots,” an Indian defense source told EFE news agency.

Incidents were reported in the sectors of Naushera, Sunderbani, Akhnoor, Baramulla and Kupwara of the “Control Line” and the international border pargwal sector in the Caxemira region.

“Pakistan violated the ceasefire and opened fire on Indian positions (…). Our troops responded effectively,” the source said.

There are several nights that are registered cross -fire of light artillery between Pakistani and Indian soldiers throughout the “line of control,” according to the Indian army.

The complaint came hours after Pakistan Information Minister Attaullah Tarar says that the country “has credible information that India intends to launch a military attack over the next 24 to 36 hours using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext.”

On April 22, several gunmen killed 26 people in the tourist city of Pahalgam, in the part of Caxemira administered by India.

“Any aggression will be received with a decisive response. India will be fully responsible for any serious consequences in the region,” Tarar added in a statement.

In a sign of extreme tensions in the region, Pakistan announced on Tuesday that he had slaughtered an Indian surveillance drone without specifying the date of the incident, on which India remained silent.

Nova Delhos held Islamabade for the April 22 attack, the deadliest in more than 20 years against civilians in this region of a Muslim majority.

Pakistan immediately denied any involvement and required a “neutral inquiry.”

On Tuesday night, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to exhort India to exercise moderation and firmly deny Pakistan involvement in the terrorist attack again.

During a telephone conversation, Sharif expressed deep concern about India’s attempts to “delegitimize the fight for cashmire freedom”, considering it “terrorism.”

Caxemira was divided between India and Pakistan when they became independent in 1947. But the two opponents have since continued to claim total sovereignty over the region.

Since 1989, the Indian part has been the scene of a separatist insurrection that has made tens of thousands of dead.

Also on Tuesday night, Guterres spoke to the Indian Foreign Minister.

Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said the UN Secretary-General agreed “on the importance of liability” and stated that India “is determined that the perpetrators, planners and instigators of this attack be brought to court.”
