The opposition intensified its offensive in Congress and obtained, on Tuesday (29), the signatures necessary to file the request to open a Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) To investigate fraud no National Institute of Social Security (INSS).
The request, presented by the federal deputy Coronel Chrisóstomo (PL-RO)reached the 171 necessary signatures for the installation of the CPI.
The focus of the commission will be to investigate the performance of unions involved in a in social security benefitsidentified by an operation of the Federal Police (PF) in partnership with the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU).
According to the members of the opposition, a Collective will be held this Wednesday (30) to clarify more details about the CPI, but so far, no new information has been disclosed
The investigation pointed out that at least 11 union entities would have practiced From monthly fees to retirees and pensioners, using counterfeit signatures and other crimes. THE between 2019 and 2024.
According to Chrisostom, the purpose of the CPI is to investigate responsibilities and propose measures to curb similar practices in the future.
