US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned today that the United States will end their mediation if Russia and Ukraine are not making “specific proposals” to end the war, its spokesman said.
“We have arrived at a time when both sides have to make specific proposals for the end of the conflict,” Tam Bruce, Tami Bruce, told the press. “If there is no progress, we as mediators will leave this process,” he said.
All of the above come in the following messages sent by the White House on Monday. “The president has made it clear that he would like a permanent ceasefire,” said Caroline Levitt, a White House spokesman during a press conference.
“Although he remains optimistic that an agreement could be concluded, it is also realistic and the two leaders must come to the negotiating table in order to get out of it,” she said, referring to the US president and his Russian and Ukraine counterparts.
According to a spokesman for the US Presidency, Trump is increasingly frustrated by Russian and Ukraine presidents.
